Our Current Progress

Now, you might be wondering, "Where are we in this journey?" We're excited to report that we've reached some significant milestones. Currently, we've successfully developed a prototype key-value database node designed to run on Unix systems. We're using this to test many things.

This database node represents a decentralized and distributed solution, fully powered by the robust libp2p networking stack and the IPFs (InterPlanetary File System). Some of its key functionalities include:

  • Reliable data provision.

  • Respect for data access settings.

  • Seamless synchronization and connection to its network peers.

Additionally, we've deployed a test contract that's currently in use on the network. This contract serves a dual purpose – it records crucial data and enforces important network decisions. Our progress is steadily moving us closer to our vision for SamaritanDB.
